About Us

Behavioral Medicine Education Programs

Welcome to the Training Programs in the Department of Behavioral Medicine at Brooke Army Medical Center (BAMC).

We have been proudly providing mental health training programs since 1996 when the Clinical Health Psychology and Child/Pediatrics Psychology Fellowships first began. The Clinical Psychology Internship Program joined us in 1999 with an all civilian class. In 2006, to meet the need of the growing military, the psychology internship was converted to an all active duty military program, where interns join us as active duty Army officers. Today, our training mission continues to grow and we currently have programs for both military and active duty training, in pre-doctoral and postdoctoral psychology as well as master’s level social work.

Below is a list of our current training programs as well as contact information for their training directors. Please use the links on the right of this page to access each of the program’s information pages. On these links you will find details about each program, application information, accreditation status and other information to help you learn more about the specific program.
