Criteria for Selection
Criteria for selection include academic performance in medical school, USMLE/COMLEX scores, letters of recommendation, demonstrated interest in military service, leadership potential, physical, mental and moral fitness.
Fellowship
Eligibility -- Active duty Medical Corps (MC) officers who are U.S. citizens and a graduate of an accredited U.S. school of medicine. Any MC active duty officer, who is a graduate from a foreign medical school, must possess a standard certificate from the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG). Applicants must have successfully completed an accredited internal medical residency.

NLT 14 September of the year before training begins.
