OB/GYN Residency Curriculum/Rotations/Locations/Partnering Institutions
The majority (85%) of the residency training experience occurs at Brooke Army Medical Center where we have a busy labor and delivery floor, GYN surgery and wards, MFM services, GYN Oncology surgery and wards, REI, UroGynecology and Minimally Invasive GYN Surgery.
Residents spend 4 months at Fort Hood, experiencing a large community military hospital with dense troop populations.
Residents spend about 5% of their time partnering with civilian colleagues in town to gain exposure to the civilian side of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Residents work with the OB Hospitalists and MFM group at Children’s Hospital of San Antonio. They operate with UroGynecologists at the VA hospital and with GYN Oncologists in the Methodist Hospital System.
