In-Processing Procedures
All military personnel must sign-in at the BAMC Military Personnel Branch (MHRB/S1), 3940 Okubo Barracks Road, building 3642, between 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. daily before reporting to their Company and/or Department.
UNIFORM: If signing in Monday through Friday during duty hours (8 a.m. – 5 p.m.), Soldiers will wear Operational Camouflage Pattern (OCP). Civilian attire is authorized if signing in outside duty hours. The Army Physical Fitness Uniform (APFU) is not authorized for wear while reporting.
Military personnel signing-in after duty hours must report to the Okubo Barracks (CQ) located in building 3631 to sign in, but are also required to report to the MHRB/S1 at 7:30 a.m. the next duty day in uniform to begin in-processing.
Each new military personnel will be given the appropriate in-processing checklist and directions to complete it. The completed checklist must be returned to MHRB/S1 within the designated working days. Those requesting PTDY will submit their request via IPPS-A, but only after receiving and completing at least the first portion of their installation brief.
- Active Duty Permanent Party Soldiers – 10 working days.
- Activated Reserve Soldiers – 5 working days.
- All Student Soldiers – 5 working days.
All personnel who are not assigned or attached to BAMC (Borrowed Manpower) and non-Army Military Personnel, (Air Force, Navy, Marines), who will be working at BAMC or one of BAMC’s facilities are required to in-process. Soldiers must have a memorandum stating how long, for what purpose and what Department they will be working for signed by the Department Chief to receive a checklist to in-process.
