Health Services

Community Support & Wellness Activities

The Department of Nutritional Medicine (DNM) Community and Outpatient Nutrition Clinic provides nutritional support to community outreach programs on-post, across Joint Base San Antonio and in the surrounding San Antonio area. Community support may include participation in post health fairs as well as nutritional education briefs or in-services for all military unit personnel and civilians employed by post organizations.

The DNM participates in the review and approval of all installation dining facility menus to ensure compliance with the Army’s ‘Go for Green’ menu standards and support the Soldier Fueling Initiative.

The DNM also reviews all installation Child and Development Center menus to ensure compliance with the United States Department of Agriculture nutrition standards for optimal childhood nutrition.

If you are interested in hosting a unit or team nutrition in-service or would like to request community nutrition support, please see below request form to facilitate communications.
