Health Services

Exceptional Family Member Program (EFMP)

WHAT IS THE EFMP?

The EFMP is a program offered by each service to support families with special medical and educational needs throughout the service member’s career.

Active-duty sponsors who have family members that meet the criteria for specific needs are mandated to be enrolled in EFMP. This ensures the needed medical or educational services are available at the gaining location.

Each branch has its own EFMP and enrollment.
