Finance & Grant Management
Mission
The mission of the DCI Office of Finance and Business Operations (FBO) is to provide fiscal support of grants, gifts and contracts for clinical investigations at Brooke Army Medical Center (BAMC) and other Medical Treatment Facilities (MTFs) in the Regional Health Command - Central (RHC-C). The FBO provides principal investigators (PIs) technical support in planning, receiving, implementing and closing out grants, gifts and contract awards to ensure efficiency and compliance in meeting federal laws and institutional rules and regulations. The FBO also coordinates with other DoD entities, Universities, and Foundations to facilitate research grants and agreements for external support of research for PIs.
Personnel & Services Provided
Financial Management Analyst - Educates, consults and advises researchers on the financial spectrum of the research process.
Financial Management Specialist - Consults and advises researchers on the extramural financial process to include receipt of grant funds, research purchase requires and close-outs.
Grants Administrator - Consults and educates researchers on research funding opportunities and grant proposals. Facilitates and processes technology transfer mechanisms used to collaborate on research and development projects with external entities.
Accounting Technician - Processes purchase orders and accounting transactions.
