The most recent appropriations for the Department of War expired at 11:59 p.m. EST on September 30, 2025. Military personnel will continue in a normal duty status without pay until such time as a continuing resolution or appropriations are passed by Congress and signed into law. Civilian personnel not engaged in excepted activities will be placed in a non-work, non-pay status.

Notice:

Effective 1 May 2017, the BAMC Orthotics & Brace Shop will no longer prescribe orthotics for outpatient clinics located outside of Brooke Army Medical Center. We CAN NO LONGER support outpatient orthotics requests from outlying clinics such as: FSH-Jennifer Moreno Clinic, Mc Wethy Troop Medical Clinic and Randolph Clinic. However, we will prescribe orthotics ONLY for patients seen for clinical appointments within the BAMC facility. Wilford-Hall Ambulatory Surgery Center's Orthotics & Brace Lab can fulfill ALL outpatient prescriptions for outlying clinics throughout JB-San Antonio. We apologize for any inconvenience.

As the Tertiary referral center for the Regional Health Command - Central, our area of coverage spans the entire Great Plains area from Canada to South and Central America.
