Allergy and Immunology


The Allergy/Immunology Clinic at Brooke Army Medical Center provides multidisciplinary diagnostic evaluations and tailored therapeutic plans for Soldiers, military families, and retirees within the Greater San Antonio metropolitan area. Areas of expertise include allergic/non-allergic rhinitis, food and drug allergy, delabeling a history of penicillin allergy, adverse vaccine reactions, asthma, insect sting reactions, atopic dermatitis, urticaria and angioedema, anaphylaxis, and immunodeficiencies. Our mission is to improve the lives of patients living with allergies by providing state-of-the-art patient care, to provide a resource for referring physicians, to teach and mentor medical students, residents and fellows alike, and to conduct research in the field of Allergy and Immunology. Initial consultation requires a referral from your primary care provider. If your allergist schedules you for skin testing, you will need to stop all antihistamines at least 4 days prior to testing. Items to bring: Valid ID card and allergy shot records (if available).

Hours of Operation:

  • Allergy Shots and Biologic Therapy: By appointments only. Patients will call 210-916-3011 to schedule an appointment for allergy shot and/or biologic therapy.
  • General Hours
    Monday, Wednesday and Thursday 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.; except for holidays. No services are available on Tuesdays or Fridays beginning in November.
  • Our clinic is closed the first Wednesday of every month from 3 p.m. - 4 p.m. for a monthly clinic administrative meeting. Please plan accordingly.

New Virtual Educational Resource Now Available

TRICARE beneficiaries can now sign up and log into the Virtual Education Center to get accurate medical and health information. You will have access to nearly 50,000 educational resources covering 60 medical topics from more than 230 organizations. This digital platform is accessible using any mobile device or computer with internet access and will integrate with DEERS and DMDC for a seamless experience.
