The most recent appropriations for the Department of War expired at 11:59 p.m. EST on September 30, 2025. Military personnel will continue in a normal duty status without pay until such time as a continuing resolution or appropriations are passed by Congress and signed into law. Civilian personnel not engaged in excepted activities will be placed in a non-work, non-pay status.
Our military hospital remains open and we’re continuing to provide healthcare services. Scheduled appointments and procedures are proceeding as planned, and new appointments continue to be booked. Admission & Disposition

Admission and Disposition Office is located on the 1st floor (main building of hospital, flagpole entrance) in Room 115-4. A&D office is open 24 hours/7 days a week. Within A&D, we receive, interview and determine eligibility for admission to Brooke Army Medical Center (BAMC); gather demographic data for entry into the Composite Health Care System (CHCS); process admissions, inter-ward transfers and dispositions on all patients within BAMC; verifies patients' insurance information for the Third Party Collection Program; operates five automated systems to enter, retrieve, and correct and update data.
